Cookie Policy

Cookies are small browser records; localStorage stores data for a particular site without automatically sending it on every request. This Policy covers askhelper-ai.com and AskHelper AI widget storage on a customer website. On that website, its owner is responsible for its notice, any required consent assessment, and its other technologies.

askhelper_access_token is an HttpOnly authorized-session cookie lasting about 1 hour; askhelper_refresh_token is an HttpOnly cookie used to securely renew the session for 30 days; askhelper_auth_flow_* are short-lived authentication-flow and return-state cookies lasting about 10 minutes. They support requested sign-in, security, and dashboard navigation and are not used for advertising.

Within the customer-site origin, the widget uses askhelper_{widget suffix}_session_id, askhelper_{widget suffix}_session_ids, askhelper_{widget suffix}_user_id, and askhelper_{widget suffix}_conversation_tokens for session or visitor identifiers and secure continuation of available conversations; askhelper_theme stores the selected theme. No programmed expiry is set: records persist until cleared by the user or site, or replaced by the application. Temporary sessionStorage values for the current askhelper_{widget suffix}_session_id key and legacy cehovik_session_id may be read, migrated to localStorage, and then removed from sessionStorage. Separately, legacy cehovik_session_id and cehovik_user_id values in localStorage are compatibility fallbacks used when the corresponding new key is absent; cehovik_user_id is not migrated or removed by this logic.

Browser settings can delete or block cookies, and site-data controls can clear localStorage. Blocking necessary cookies may prevent dashboard sign-in. Clearing customer-site storage can remove the local link to conversation history and theme preferences, although server records may remain under the Privacy Policy and customer instructions.

We currently set no advertising cookies. Dashboard analytics still use server-side messages, conversations, ratings, and usage events as described in the Privacy Policy; this is not advertising tracking.
